This class will take you from beginner to confident professional in just one day!
What we will cover:
Choosing, using and treating sugarpaste for best use on cupcake toppers
How to choose a beautiful colour scheme for your cupcake collection
How to emboss patterns and words onto sugarpaste, with different techniques
Using sugarpaste moulds effectively for perfect results every time
Creating perfect, consistent sized pearls and adding shimmer
Using tools to create a ruffle effect
Creating my signature large cupcake bows
You will learn how to use a variety of cutters and tools to create your decorations and we'll use professional colourings and pearls to make them unique to your own preferred style. You can of course ask as many questions as you like as we go through the class!
You will take home a box of 6 beautiful cupcakes that you will have decorated all by yourself, and of course a newfound knowledge that you can use to develop your skills and love of decorating! You will also be given a recipe sheet and full details of all of the products and tools that we have used throughout the day.
All the equipment, tools and edible materials you need will be provided for you to use during the class.
Gluten Free / Dairy Free cupcakes are availble for this class - just pop me a note when you make your booking :)
Please be aware that all cupcakes and buttercream for this class are prepared in my home kitchen, which handles wheat, dairy, nuts and eggs on a regular basis. If you have extreme allergies, I would not recommend booking a space on this class.
This class will take place in the Memorial Hall at Brenchley. There is ample free parking right outside the venue.
We will provide as much tea, coffee and soft drinks as you would like throughout the day, however, if you have a particular preference, you are of course welcome to bring your own refreshments. Please bring a packed lunch with you - we will take a 20 minute break for lunch and it's hungry work so bring something yummy!
Please let us know at the time of booking if you would like gluten / wheat free cakes prepared for you to work on in this class.
Please note: This course does not include baking of cupcakes or making of icing / buttercream - these will be provided for you on the day and will be lovingly pre-made for you in the CakeyBake home kitchen (which has been inspected and approved by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council Environmental Health Office)
Class bookings are non-refundable. If you cancel before 14 days in advance of a class, you will receive a credit to the value of your class (less booking fee) for a future class.
If you cancel within 14 days of a class taking place, we offer a 50% credit towards a future class.
If you cancel within 7 days of a class taking place, no credit will be given.
All classes include a non-refundable £25 booking fee.
