Christmas GIngerbread House Class

Tuesday 19th November: 10am - 3pm

Join me on my stunning Christmas Class - we'll be making a gorgeous little fully edible gingerbread house in this wonderful class.

What we will cover:

The perfect gingerbread recipe; how to store it, cut it and bake it for the perfect shapes for your gingerbread house.

Constructing your gingerbread house.

Creating a beautiful colour scheme and pattern design for your house.

Working with sugarpaste to create a variety of different finishes on your house (there wil be a lot of choice for personalisation too)

Working with Royal Icing to pipe borders, dots and grass.

You will be carefully taught piping techniques and given time to practise each technique before going live on your own gingerbread house. 

You will go home with your gorgeous Gingerbread House - which will keep all Christmas.

All the equipment, tools and edible materials you need will be provided for you to use during the class.

This course includes a variety of piping techniques and is quite intense  - you will spend time practising different effects and delicately piping your designs onto your gingerbread house.  If you suffer from arthritis or other hand related aches/pains, this class is NOT recommended.

Other Details: 

This class will take place in our lovely Cake School at the Hop Farm.

Gluten Free / Dairy Free:

We are unable to accommodate dietary requirements on this class due to the ingredients in the gingerbread dough we use. We will be happy to discuss how we can make the recipe GF / DF though.

Please note: This course does not include baking of cookies or making of icing / buttercream - these will be provided for you on the day and will be lovingly pre-made for you in the CakeyBake home kitchen (which has been inspected and approved by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council Environmental Health Office)
