Funtastic February Cake School

February 13th - 21st 2021

Join us next half term for a brand new way to learn new caking and baking skills in the online CakeyBake Funtastic February Cake School!

We'll give you a whole week of making, baking and decorating from the comfort of your own home, at your own pace!

Here's what we'll be up to:

- One LIVE baking class (10am on Saturday 13th) - we'll be teaching you how to make scrumptious red velvet whoopie pies (and you can even make them heart shaped if you like!)! 

- One LIVE cupcake decorating class (10am on Friday 19th) - where we'll teach you how to make a choc-tastic set of cupcake toppers! We'll teach you how to make mini chocolate bars, a box of chocolates with a lid and a fancy chocolate drip cake - all in minature form to fit on top of a cupcake!

- there will be a downloadable recipe for chocolate cupcakes and scruptious chocolate buttercream to go with this class :) 

**BONUS VIDEO** Bonnie has recorded a very special bake-along teaching you how to make her brilliant fluffy breakfast pancakes - join her on Pancake Day (Tuesday 16th) and make your own super fluffy yummy pancakes (they are amazing with maple syrup and fruit)! 

Every booking will receive a special little goody bag in the post! *(suitable for all dietary requirements)

You'll receive a full ingredients and equipment list no later than 6th February and our classes will begin on the week commencing 13th February.

How it works:

• One price covers ALL classes - you only need to pay ONE price per viewing household / facebook login
• Our Cake School will run online in a private Facebook group - the group will open up on 10th February and you'll be emailed an invitation to join.
• You'll receive an email with ingredients and equipment that you will need to prepare for each class. (you will need to purchase basic baking ingredients and some sugarpaste - all available from your local supermarket)
• You can enjoy the classes LIVE or re-visit them at a future time at your leisure - we save everything to the group and you can watch back at any time that suits you :)

Equipment: we expect that you'll have the following basic baking equipment:

• Baking tray
• Cupcake / muffin tin
• Cupcake Cases
• 2 or three gel food colourings (just red, pink and purple will be great!)
• little rolling pin
• a set of round cutters
• cocktail sticks

and the following pantry products:

• Flour
• Eggs
• Sugar
• Butter
• Sugarpaste (250g)
• Cocoa

The classes are aimed very broadly at 6-12 year old students - if your children are younger or older, you are MOST welcome to still join in the fun - we often get lots of adults booking our classes too - it's totally fine and we're delighted to have you attending! Young children may need assistance and we may use a food mixer some techniques - we advise adults supervise all activities.  

Our online classes are always a brilliant journey of baking, decorating, fun and laughter!  It's not 'just another baking class', it's SO much more than that -the skills we teach are not often taught to children - real skills using proper ingredients - there's no chucking sprinkles on a cupcake and no pre-mixes. Everything is taught with the aim of giving your child confidence in their abilities and the freedom to use their creativity to get heart-burstingly proud results :)
