The Royal Iced Cookie Class

A wonderful beginners class, teaching everything you need to know about working with Royal Icing for perfect cookie decorating.  

What we will cover: 

• How to make beautiful no-spread cookies (these will be made in advance for you but we'll give you a brilliant recipe and top tips for when you make them yourself)
• How to mix Royal Icing to different consistencies
• How to pipe and decorate your cookies.
• How to create a flood consistency Royal Icing for creating smooth shiny icing
• Royal Icing Decorating Techniques, including:
• Flood icing
• Wet on Wet Technique
• Borders
• Marbling
• Overpiping
• Polkadots and stripes
• Adding detail
• Ditsy Rose patterns
• How to create a firm consistency Royal Icing for creating detail and patterns
• Tips and tricks for drying, storing and packaging your cookies 

You will take home a beautiful box of your completed cookies, along with recipes and class notes to remind you of everything you have learned.   

All the equipment, tools and edible materials you need will be provided for you to use during the class. 

Dietary requirements? 

Gluten Free / Dairy Free cookies are availble for this class - just pop me a note when you make your booking :)

Please note: We are unable to cater for a vegan diet on this class due to the egg products used in the icing.

Please be aware that all products made for this class are prepared in my home kitchen, which handles wheat, dairy, nuts and eggs on a regular basis. If you have extreme allergies, I would not recommend booking a space on this class.

Other Details: 

This class will take place in our beautiful teaching studio at the Hop Farm, Tonbridge, Kent. 

We will provide as much tea, coffee and soft drinks as you would like throughout the class, however, if you have a particular preference, you are of course welcome to bring your own refreshments. 

Please note: This course does not include baking of cookies - these will be provided for you on the day and will be lovingly pre-made for you in the CakeyBake home kitchen (which has been inspected and approved by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council Environmental Health Office)

Cancellations Policy:  

Class bookings are non-refundable. If you cancel before 14 days in advance of a class, you will receive a credit to the value of your class (less booking fee) for a future class. 

If you cancel within 14 days of a class taking place, we offer a 50% credit towards a future class. 

If you cancel within 7 days of a class taking place, no credit will be given. 

All classes include a non-refundable £25 booking fee.
