Christmas Gnome Cake Class - an online class

In this online class, we'll be making lovely little Christmas Gnome Cakes for you to get creative with this festive season.

This wonderful class will cover:

• Cutting, stacking and shaping cakes for the perfect 'gnome body'
• Discussion of which pastes to use for the best end result.
• Covering your gnome with sugarpaste
• Creating feet, hats, beards (or braids), noses and embellishments for your gnomes.
• Creative techinques for visual effects, including stripes, draping and fabric.
• Alternative methods of construction for increasing the shelf life of your gnomes (they make gorgeous gifts!).
• Packaging and pricing of your cakes.
• Templates for perfect results every time!

Our class takes place on Facebook in a private learning group.  

On payment for the class, you will receive an email with a direct link to join our private Facebook group and a full list of ingredients and equipment that you'll need to complete this project.

You will need the following basic equipment to take part:

• Small rolling pin
• Nest of round cutters
• Cornflour
• Edible glue or water
• Cocktail stick
• Sugarpaste
• Gel food colours

Details of specific extra cutters and moulds we use will be provided in your class equipment list.

How it works:

• I'll send you joining details for our private Facebook group, this will be sent out within two working days.
• You'll receive emails with class, equipment and ingredient information.
• Your live class is pre-recorded and is instantly accessible in our private Facebook group.
• All videos, PDF's, and certificates will be available in the 'files' section of the Facebook group, we will also label them with topic themes so that they are easy for you to locate.
• You can re-visit it gain and again at a time that suits you!
• Your tutor, Kirsty, will be available for questions and updates in the group if you need any help.
